I’m very excited for the upcoming staged reading of my play, Death For Sydney Black on February 10th, 8 p.m. at the Incubator Arts Project as part of the Groundbreakers Reading Series. I will continue to shamelessly plug it since it is free! And it’s going to be awesome! Terra Nova Collective, along with director Mallory Catlett and I had auditions last week:

CAST

Jen Kwok as JEN, Nancy’s quirky side-quick from the wrong side of the tracks who plays the ukulele  and sings.

Nicole Hodges as SYDNEY BLACK, the head cheerleader and most popular girl at Northeast Valley High.  Nicole will also play BRAD, Sydney’s  boyfriend,  the captain of the basketball team at Northeast Valley High.

Lauren Marcus as NANCY, the “frumpy” new girl at Northeast Valley High.

THE THREE CHEERLEADERS, an ensemble of three ridiculously talented acrobatic women who can act, sing and dance will be played by………

Jenny Gomez (CHEERLEADER 1), ethnically ambiguous and rich.

Rachel Radenburg (CHEERLEADER 2), a whore.

Emily Kratter (CHEERLEADER 3), a moron.

The staged reading, presented by terraNOVA Collective in association with the Incubator Arts Project (131 East 10th Street at 2nd Avenue), will be February10 at 8pm. For advance reservations please call 917-639-3166.
